Chemistry - Moles Flashcards Part 2
It’s a key concept in chemistry for counting particles at the atomic scale. It is named after Amedeo Avogadro, an Italian scientist. Avogadro’s number is 6 × 10²³, which is the number of particles (atoms, molecules, or ions) in one mole of a substance.
What is a mol
a mole is a amount of a substance that contains 6x10 23 particles
