Analyzing the Impact of Microsystems and Technology on ChildDevelopment: A Personal ReflectionBronfenbrenner's Ecological ModelYour text uses Bronfenbrenner's ecological model to explain how children's development isaffected by different groups within their world.Using this theory, we can understand howchildren are socialized both intentionally and unintentionally. You must understand how thistheory applies to your own upbringing as well as a young child's upbringing in order to trulycomprehend the concept.Use your understanding of this theory to respond to the questionsbelow.Using Bronbenbrenner's ecological model, respond to the following questions:a.How did the microsystem that you grew up in differ from your grandparents’microsystem?Do you think this is a detrimental or an affirmative change to society as awhole?b.How do you think technology, specifically social media, influences a child'smesosystems?Guided Response:Review all of your classmates’ posts and respond to at least two classmates, speaking specifically to the change in microsystem.State if you agree with your classmates’assessments of the change as either detrimental or affirmative and justify your response.Includeany influences of social media that they may have missed, explaining how and why theinfluences are valid.ANSWERMicrosystems are described as different relationships with people and the roles these people playin regards to a particular person’s life (Bojczyk, 2012). The Microsystems that my grandparentshad is totally different from mine. My grandparents were raised by both of their biologicalparents while I was raised by a single mother in a foster home. Another difference was the rolereligion had in our lives. My grandparents were raised in a very religious setting whereas I wasraised in an atheist home. I believe that this change was and is affirmative because it allowed meto be objective. I can only speak for myself because this same situation may be viewed asdetrimental for society as a whole because of another's own personal beliefs.
