Abstract
Stress is a problem in any environment, however in some cases the consequences of stress can
lead to irreversible outcomes. This is especially true when the job requires that the responsibility
for the protection and well-being of many lives is placed in the hands of a person undergoing a
great deal of stress in their life. For those in high stress lines work such as a police officer the
consequences can be deadly. As such the individuals with these high stress jobs must find ways
to cope with the stress that their chosen profession forces upon them.
