Spiritual Discernment PaperAbstractThis paper presents a personal view of spiritual discernment and theprocess. The paper examines theimportance of mainly career decisionmaking, my view of the struggles and things that influence decisions. The paper first explores decision making factors that are very importantto me based on the survey in the Horton (2009) article. I also explain mychoice of discernment approach based on the factors that are importantto me. I explain how I feel they related to the approaches explained inthe Horton (2009) article. I reveal past experiences that influence myapproach, and influence how I may career counsel someone.Personal PositionAfter doing the survey in the Article, I found that the decision makingfactors where all either somewhat important to me, important or veryimportant. I would almost put using common sensein the same category as just having your eyes open and being in tunewith the jobs you qualify for and the opportunities that may exist.Depending on a sense of inner peace from the Holy Spirit is veryimportant to me ask well. I lean on God for direction and answersthrough prayer and scripture, I want to feel a sense of peace whenmaking any decision not only career related. In relation to a careerdecision I want to feel the peace of knowing this is where I am to be atthis time, and God has put me here for a reason. I feel a career choicemay be something at first many are UN easy about and may feel couldbe making the wrong decision. Iwant peace from the Holy Spirit, I want
