What is the definition of a map?
A map is a graphic representation of a portion of the earth as it would be seen from above.
What does a map provide?
Information on the location of, and the distance between ground features.

Black - Represents military symbols and text.
What are contour lines?
Imaginary lines on a map that represent high and low ground elevation.
What are the 3 kinds of contour lines?
Index, Intermediate, and Suppressive.
