Discuss in general the ethical issues when employees are tempted to defraud their employer or
when companies defraud the public. What sort of situations can lead to this behavior? What are

ideals and standards of behavior. Business ethics may be defined as set of standards or principles
governing the moral conduct of businessmen. It requires the businessmen to be honest with
themselves and with other. Business ethics refers to personal conduct and moral duty of business
towards different sections of the society.
Adulteration of goods. e.g., mixing of papaya seeds with black pepper, coloring of wood pieces
and selling as turmeric, etc.
Sale of spurious products, e.g., contamination of glucose bottles, plain water in injections, etc.
Sale of duplicate products under popular brand names.
Sale of products injurious to public health, e.g. charas, heroine, L.S.D., etc.
