Introduction
Good health and safety preparation should be a high priority within an organizational culture.
Unsuccessful occupational health and safety plan have a bad effect on the organization as well as
the workforce. Now in the present time one of the biggest issues employer facing that the safety
of their employees. Health and safety initiatives amplify the mental and physical health of
employees through the treatment, assessment, and deterrence of possible problems and health
risks and by supporting and encouraging healthy behavior and lifestyle choices (Swearington M
& H, 1996). By providing good health and safety of their employees, organizations may gain
from greater reductions and productivity in healthcare accident, costs, and absenteeism rates. In
workplace organizations have a moral responsibility to make sure the safety and welfare of their
staff members. On the other hand regular improvements to workplace safety practices can
rapidly increase motivation, competitiveness, and profitability of employees (Swearington M &
H, 1996).
Injury or illness on-the-job issues related to your chosen company
In the world auto manufacturing industry there are 22 million people working, and the
experience of this particular industry is a high risk of work injury and illnesses (Janer G, Sala M,
& Kogevinas M, 2002). However, jointly the members of the National Safety Council (NSC) and
manufacturing industry, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) works to
present employers and the workers of airline industry with assistance and such information to
help make a good healthy and safe working environment. In General Motors the employees
engage in a number of occupation and activities that represent them to on the job associated
injury and illnesses like cuts or lacerations, sprains, and strains. These specific types of injuries
mostly affect the employees, companies production, and management but in a different way.
