It talks about conversationalstyle. It is anexercisewhich tries to give a framework for scholars who areinterested inanalyzinglanguageofeverydayinteractionandtoshowtheinsightsofeverydaycommunication.'Conversationalstyle’ isa tool that one usesfor conversing. It refers to something that is bothindividual and subtle. Every individual has their own conversationalstyle. Weshould noconfuse it with dialect as dialect is a language variety spoken by a group of people in a certainregionwith a particular pronunciation and grammar.Conversational style as described by the author is not the style in the sense that it is extraordinary /fancy or that it is dull and plain but it is the characteristics or the tools that we use inour daily conversation with people and it can differ from one situation to the other. Anythingthat we say has a style,it depicts whether we are saying it jokingly, angrily, friendly or rudely.We should be able tomake the other personunderstand what we meant to say. Being able tocomprehend our thoughts in a right way is the key to a good conversation. The way ourintentions our communicated are the features of the communication style, it includes the tone,the pace, the pauses that wemake in between our speech.
