IV
Preface
Three quizzes are provided for each main chapter: two individual quizzes and a combined quiz.
The quizzes can be used for different terms or for different sections of the course. There are also
two quizzes for each Word Parts chapter and for the Review chapters. Additionally, two final
exams cover words from the entire book. The final exams conclude with a section for students to
write their own sentences using ten of the vocabulary words. Instructors may want to include this
section with the final exam or as an extra credit part of the test.
Most of the quizzes are designed so that instructors can give them in various ways: the
students can write the words in the blanks, put a letter in a blank space, or use a Scantron® form.
Following the final exams is an Answer Section for the quizzes and final exams in the Test
Bank.
