The Bigger Picture By Lil Baby
The Bigger Picture is a song made by the artist Lil Baby and became nominated
for the BET's Best Impact Track, and Best Rap Song all for the year 2020. During this time
Covid 19 was hitting its peak and more instances of police brutality within america. During this
time especially with all the police brutality cases going around, more and more african americans
in the united states did not want to go outside. Due to this fact multiple hip hop artists created
songs about these issues and how they need to come to a halt. One of those artists came up with a
great song called. The Bigger Picture". The Bigger Picture's meaning was to speak out for the
black communit}’ from constant decades of racial discriminations and brutalities. The song is
also meant for everyone no matter tvhat race you are so that you can get the message to attempt
to change and make the world a better place.
In the song Lil Baby goes into depth and speaks about how long the black communit}’ has
been suffering from this much hate and discrimination. He also states. "They are killing us for no
reason. Been goins on for too Ions to aet even. Throw us in cases like dogs and hvenas". This
quote best helps explain how the black community has been experiencing these racial
discriminations and are tired of being treated Like animals the}’ can dispose of at any time.
"Even’ colored person ain't dumb and all whites not racist. I be judging by the mind and heart, I
ain't really into faces". This quoted lyric is self explanatory. We can't go on about life thinking of
how each and ever}- single black person is dumb or a terrible person as well as not thinking that
