What issues arose that disrupted effective communication with the group members? Provide examples to illustrate your point. I cannot think of anything that happened at work. Personally, I did have to do a group event with family and friends. We were giving a baby shower for my daughter-in-law. The first thing I did was have a meeting to communicate to everyone how the event would be. Some issues disrupted the meeting. Everyone was talking over each other on how the baby shower should be done. One was saying that there should open the present before dinner, other were say cut the cake right after dinner. Some were just going back and forth, on how the event should be done. I thought it would be fun for our friends and family to be involved with the event but it turned out to be a disaster with everyone different ideas. There was also an issue about what type of food would be brought to the event. The event was a potluck event s0 everyone had to bring something. There were so many ideas and opinions that I had to figure out how this would all work out and how I could effectively communication with them. Finally, I set down the ground rules and we were all able to effectively communicate; after several hours of around in circles. I listened to all their ideas, and we all came to an agreement.
