Although, all parts are important in the writing process, I believe planningis the most important.Planning consists of three general activities: gathering andcollecting information, analyzing and organizing information, and choosing theform, channel, and format for the message.A business report isan orderly and objective communication of factual informationthat serves a business purpose.Reports are a type of information that is factual and serves as a business purpose.Iwould take the same steps as stated aboveplus addition steps for report writing. Ina report, I would have to determine whetherI choosea short report or a long reportdepending on who my audience is. There are different types of reports available.
