Working in theclothing industry is tough so applying the five-functions in the workplacewill work when it is applied properly. To be successful managers andowners need to know the five functions, and how to implement them intothe workplace. Success will be reachable and achievable when all fivefunctions are taken seriously and applied into the business as a teameffort.The first function is planning; Owners and managers use planning tochoose appropriate business goals and identify the right course of actionto reach their goals (Reilly, Minnick, & Baack, 2011). It takes carefulplanning to make any business run at its fullest capacity and achieve thegoals set. Implementing planning is part of every management function itisthefoundationtobuildaproductivebusiness.Withoutcarefulplanning,andstructure,abusinesscannotsurvive.Theownerpresented a set of goals in the plan that was drawn out in great detail itwas a plan of action, not just words to achieve the goals.He let everyone know planning was an ongoing process and plans willtake time to implement into the business. The owner coordinated theproposals and was the overseer of the plans, but included all involved tounderstand the plan and make sure that they are completed effectively.Communicating as a team receiving feedback on these goals it wasagreed as a team they are reachable.MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
