2Organizational behavior management analyzes what people do, analyzes why they do it anddevelops evidence-based intervention methods to enhance what people do.All employees whocould be injured in their field of work should participate on observation and feedback team. Thisstep of feedback involves the manager sending the employees a feedback about their workplacepractices.Poorly designed groups significantly contribute to medical error so the manager needto establish good feedback systems. Behavior is a critical contributor to medical errors andgreatly dependson the system in which it occurs(Leape et al., 1998).Feedback involves measuring a targeted behavioral change and giving back information.Theseincludeterms such as frequency, rate, and percent correct. The established feedbacksystems getthe safety measure communicated to the employees by the management in time. The use offeedback is essential because the manger gets to communicate back to the employee the keyareas they need to emphasize to ensure medical errors are eliminated. However the manager needto make the feedback session as positive as possible because naturally, nobody likes beencriticized. If the manager delivers the feedback of the medical staff in a positive mannerhighlighting the crucial areas where a mistake can emerge from, the health workers will bepositive about the session and will always be looking forward to the next session(Risser et al.,1999).The manager asks the workers to develop a critical behavior checklist in thesescase;theemployees watch and observe each other in their operations in the hospital and then produce apositive one-on-one coaching feedback for both safe and risky behaviors observed. This peer-peer conversation is important in providing an environment for employees to complement eachother for all the tasks completed safely.
