1. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
1.1. General Description of Work
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is designed to solicit proposals from qualified contractors to
address Shuman & White need to develop a new baseball field and athletic clubhouse. Shuman
& White is seeking to design a medium-size baseball field on a 20-acre site located in Dekalb
County, Georgia. The project will include an athletic clubhouse that will have a parking lot with
a capacity for 50 cars. The land is flat with dilapidated structures and trees of which the winning
bidder will be responsible for the demolition and removal. The design of the field must have
county sewer and water utilities. The selected partner will share in the mission and business
objectives as of Shuman & White. These mutual goals will be met by providing best price and
lowest total cost and a high level of service.
1.2. What Must Be Included with Bid
1.2.1 Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of a series of selection criteria which
shall include price, conformance to the requirements of this RFP, features,
performance, reliability, contractor experience, delivery and installation schedule,
and overall responsiveness to this RFP.
1.2.2 Contract awards will be based upon the lowest priced, responsive and responsible
proposal, which, in the sole opinion of Shuman & White is deemed best to serve
its current and future needs.
1.2.3 Proposals should include the following:
A. Full legal name of the company.
B. Year business was established.
C. Number of people currently employed.

D. Summary(s) of qualifications, including technical comprehensive description
of quality.
E. Include the implementation team members’ background, years of experience
and number of completed installations of a similar nature.
F. Definition(s) and proposal for project plan including timeline(s).
G. Definition(s) of all deliverables and services offered at a firm fixed price.
H. Include a proposed implementation project plan with estimated time frames.
I. Provide a description of the implementation process.

1.4. Location of Work
Implementation of this project will be located on the property owned by Shuman &
White. The physical location of the project will be located at 1566 Central Park Lane,
Atlanta GA, 30034 a property owned by Shuman & White Shuman & White will not
provide workspace for the consultant. The consultant should include in their price
proposal transportation, lodging, and per diem costs sufficient to pay for trips that may be
required under this contract. All trips should be addressed in their proposal as a
deliverable.
