1. What are single-case designs and when are they most useful?
When the subject has restriction, single case experiments are utilized. This kind of design is
patterned from the concept of reinforcement. Thus, it is more relevant and useful when the
purpose in conducting the research is to determine the effect of experimental manipulation on
single research participants (Cozby, 2009).
2. How may a researcher enhance the generalizability of the results of a single case design?
To be able to improve the generalizability of the results of a single case design, a
researcher is encouraged to replicate the subject versus others. This way, a number of
subjects could represent the needed outcome.
3. What is the relationship between quasi-experiments and confounding variables? Provide
an example.
The most obvious relationship between confounding variables and quasi- experiments is
