Needs assessment
It is a process used to identify whether training is the correct
intervention for a performance problem. The importance of needs
assessment cannot be overemphasized. When a needs assessment
is not conducted or conducted improperly, a training program may
fail to clearly meet the performance need, thus resulting in
diminishing returns on what is likely a costly investment.
