1 MMIS 621: Information Systems Project Management Summer 2015 Assignment 4: Information Systems Project Management Plan Scope Statement for [ Infrastructure Development Wireless Office ] In the context of the "Wireless Office" infrastructure development project, you are required to analyze and discuss the following aspects: 1. Project Objective and Deliverables : Explain the objective of replacing the manual system of data entry with a wireless system. Discuss the importance of the deliverables such as mobile devices, software integration, user training, and system installation in achieving the project’s goals. 2. Technical Requirements : Outline the key technical requirements for the project, including wireless device feasibility, device selection, software integration, and testing. Discuss the importance of each technical aspect in ensuring seamless data transfer from mobile devices to the existing system. 3. Milestones and Timeline : Describe the project milestones and their significance in tracking the progress of the project. Evaluate the proposed timeline and suggest any potential risks or challenges that may arise in meeting the deadlines. 4. Limits and Exclusions : Review the limits and exclusions mentioned in the project scope. Discuss how the exclusion of major changes to the existing software systems and the restriction to only integrating wireless devices might affect the overall success and functionality of the project. 5. Customer Review : Analyze the customer's review of the current system’s shortcomings and how the wireless solution will address issues such as offline data entry discrepancies and reporting accuracy. Discuss the importance of real - time reporting and email - based notifications in improving the system's functionality. Word Count Requirement: 1,500 - 2,000 words .

2 Project Title: Infrastructure Development Wireless Office Prepared by: Date: 3rd December 2015 Project Objective: The object is to replace the manual system of Data Entry to the Wireless System where data can be entered from the remote places directly by the mobile devices to the syste, . Deliverables: 1. Deliver All Hardware --- mobile devices 2. Deliver the Software to integrate the wireless data acquisition 3. Training and support to the users 4. Installation and commissioning of the system Milestones 1. Deliver the devices by august 1st 2. Deliver the software by august 15th 3. Complete the training by September 25th 4. Complete all installations and project acceptance by November 20th Technical Requirements: 1. Wireless device technical feasibility analysis 2. Identification of the correct device which can integrate with the existing system 3. Integration of the software module to acquire and store the remote data from the mobile device 4. testing, integration and installation of the devices Limits and Exclusions: 1. No major change will be done to the existing Software systems 2. Only the integration module for the wireless devices to be developed 3. only the connectivity, sending and storing of the data from the mobile devices to be made 4. No additional hardware, servers or computers to be purchased except the devices Customer Review: The present system has the problems from the offline data entry as there is always discrepancy in reporting. The customers wants that the data be entered remotely in the wireless fashion to the existing system so the reporting is accurate. The system should save all the data sent in the online fashion so that the reporting is done
