Recommendations
For this course project, choose either Aircraft Solutions or Quality Web Design as your
organization. Identify two significant security weaknesses in the areas of hardware, software, or
policy (excluding password policies). For each weakness, analyze the associated vulnerabilities,
potential threats, risk likelihood, and the consequences for critical business processes and
competitive advantage. In Phase II, propose detailed solutions to address these weaknesses,
including specific vendors, hardware/software specifications, policy updates, and an assessment
of the solution's effectiveness in mitigating the identified threats. Consider the cost of
implementation, including training and maintenance, and evaluate the potential positive or
negative impacts on business processes. Discuss any trade-offs between security and business
requirements. (Word count requirement for Phase I: 3-5 pages, Phase II: 6-10 pages, total
project: 9-15 pages excluding references and diagrams.)
