Describe how the components of the Hawthorne study are incorporated in current human resource functions? What was the main idea behind this study? How have you been impacted by the components of this study in your current or past work setting? In my opinion the main idea behind this study was to look at the human side of productivity. Other forms of management seem to only focus on increasing the amount of products that are produced without taking in to consideration the needs and wants of the people producing them. At the end of the study it was concluded that “workers are motivated by more than money” (Baack, 2012). The study showed that motivation can also come from social interactions, individual attitudes, and collective employee morale.
