BUS 610 Week 4 DQ 1 Leadership Style What style of leadership is the most effective in leading an organization? In my opinion transformational leadership is the most effective leadership style. Transformational leadership styles focus on team-building, motivation and collaboration with employees at different levels of an organization to accomplish change for the better. Transformational leaders set goals and incentives to push their subordinates to higher performance levels, while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth for each employee. I think providing opportunities for professional growth for each employee is very important. I like working for companies that hire from within allowing its’ workers the chance to work their way up the ladder. I feel that this not only benefits the employee but also the company because the employee may already know what is needed for the job opposed to having to train someone new from the beginning. At my former job whenever there was a supervisor position open the company would always try to get someone who already worked in that department to take the job because they already knew how the department was supposed to be ran. If they hired someone off the streets they would have to spend a lot of time training that person.
