Abstract
In this paper the subject to discuss is the website design for the Huffman Trucking
website. The strengths and weaknesses of the website will be identified using website design
standards. A solution for each of these weaknesses will be described as well as ways to improve
the strengths of the website. The solutions, improvement, and new design elements will be used
in a redesign plan for the website. The website redesign plan will be applied to The Huffman
Trucking website and the new website will be displayed in this paper.

Huffman Trucking Website Redesign Plan
The basic website design for Huffman Trucking fails to benefit from modern website
design principles for a more effective website. The basic design of this website has poor usability
and is not user-friendly. Standard functionality missing from the website should be incorporated
in the website design. These basic design principles will be addressed to give the website a more
focused design. The more focused design will capitalize on user behavior patterns to hold user
attention. The redesign will improve the website’s usability and its ability to attract and maintain
user attention.
Strengths and Weaknesses of Existing Site
Huffman Trucking has many strengths and weaknesses in the existing website. One of
the strengths is the color scheme and contrast used in the site. The background is white and the
colors used make the text stand out. The blue color scheme used to color the Huffman Trucking
name and the links on the website are not too dark and are easy for a customer to see. In
addition, the color scheme throughout the website is appropriate for the audience. The text also is
of the appropriate font, Times New Roman, 12, which allows the customers to read the text
easily.
The Huffman Trucking navigation links are short, descriptive, and clear. The links are at
the top of the page allowing customers to see the links as soon as the site appears. Furthermore,
the links are not too long and there are not too many links for a customer to have to scroll
through to find the information they are looking for. Before each link there is a colored square,
allows a customer to know his or her current location on the website. When navigating through
the site, the customer can click on any link and still have the list of links at the top of the page;
therefore, navigating from one page to another is effortless. The website also loads quickly so a
